I am 39 weeks pregnant now and I am totally at peace…with everything. I am truly resting in Him and trusting His perfect timing. That is one thing I have learned in the past year or two is that Gods timing really truly is PERFECT!!! We can plan all we want but His plan is the best plan of all. I am truly resting in that. This babe will come when it is supposed to come. That being said, we are ready. A lot has changed in the past 9 months, (an example of Gods perfect timing is giving us those 9 months of preperation) and we are all 3 (me, Petey and Noni) so ready for this fourth member of our family. It is so exciting. At the beginning of the pregnancy I thought a lot about how I am possibly going to handle two kids and how is this or that giong to go, how, how, how, but now I am so excited to handle all the trials and challenges that are to come. I know once I am in the moment I probably will not be sounding so eager to endure the struggle but I will get through.
There will be an adjustment period but I’m looking forward to that and finding a new rhythm that works for us. I know that rhythm will change and evolve over the next year or so but that’s exciting too. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and I CAN handle two babes and all that that implies!!
It is so neat to see Peter get excited about the baby too. He said just last night, “Im ready for a little baby.” He has been so great with Nonah and I can’t wait to see him with this one. We have both gone back and forth with what we want to have a boy or a girl. Peter would be fine if we had all girls (so would I) but I would really like to experience raising a boy and have that mother son relationship. BUT we don’t get to choose and I am so glad because God knows what our family needs. I am just getting soooo anxious to find out and meet our babe. Eeek so excited!!!!
Our excitement is a different excitement than it was with Nonah. Her being our first and all the unknown ahead of us made us ecstatic with excitement and this time we know what is coming and can relax and enjoy the ride a little more. I am talking mostly about the labor but also the newborn stage. I want to really savor and soak it all in because I realize how fast it really goes.
I am also so at peace with my/our decision to have a homebirth with Nonah and now this babe. I am so happy with my midwife and just so grateful to have found her. I really believe it was God who brought us to this house, this area, my job at the time, and the people who influenced me at the beginning of my pregnancy and the series of events that then led me to Rising Moon Midwifery. I am sooo grateful! I love everything about my midwife and her philosophy and how she handles birth. I couldn’t have asked for a better birth experience the first time around. I’m hoping/praying and believing I will be able to say the same things if not even better things about this next birth experience. I feel so prepared mentally and physically for it. I have an amazing husband to be by my side, my beautiful daughter will (hopefully) be with us, my amazing midwife and amazing assistant and my good friend will all be there to make this an amazing birth. Hopefully I will be sharing the story soon!
{I think baby wants to get out now. He/she has been moving like crazy as I sit on the couch typing this post. Back and forth like 10 times and non stop kicks, flutters, etc.. Uy ya yiy!}
pics were taken at 38 weeks!

Festive Fun
Peter had off yesterday so we decided to have some family fun. Noni is really getting in to crafts and creating things so I decided to give painting pumpkins a try. It was her first time using paint and she did pretty good. Got one dot on her face, mixed the colors a little and was done pretty quickly. Then wanted me to make a smily face on it. It was fun! I love how the littlest things make kids so happy!

Lots of Sewing...
I have been inspired these days to sew. I go in spurts with my sewing and some days I want nothing to do with it. But the past few weeks I have really been inspired. Christmas is coming and I am getting lots of gift ideas and ideas for my Etsy shop. (check it out if you havent already, on the left) I also have come across some amazing "how-to" videos on youtube which have been really fun to watch and then do. Little girl ruffle pants is one thing that I have been making. I love them. Noni has 3 so far because she has a tiny waist but is tall the pants that fit her end up being too short. Hence the cute ruffle on the bottom. She so far loves everything I make her. So heres a few pics of what I have made recently.

Update
So I am 37 weeks pregnant and can't really believe it. The time has flown by like usual. My due date is the 24th which is only 22 days away. Ahhhhhh! Now that October is here things are really starting to sink in. I am going to be holding my newborn baby really soon. It will no longer be just the 3 of us, it will be the 4 of us. And Noni will officially be the BIG SISTER!!!!
She is so excited about our baby. Our baby comin soon, she says. We are having our baby at home with a midwife (same MW we had for Nonah) and the plan is for Nonah to be there with us as much as she wants to be. My friend/doula in training will be there to help out but I really want Nonah to be there to see the baby come out and meet her little bro/sis for the first time. Its going to be amazing.
I am as prepared as I can be for this birth. I learned with Nonah not to really plan out what you want to happen and how you want things to go because its really not up to me. Baby will come when its ready and I will just listen to body as we go. Who knows I might end up not wanting Nonah there, we will see. I am planning on renting the Aqua Doula again so I have the option for a water birth but again we will have to see what happens.
Although I am getting big and uncomfortable I am trying to enjoy these last days of my pregnancy and last days alone with Nonah. And I am super excited to me my babe!!!! 22 days to go! I will keep you posted!

The Wright Times
This week was "vacation" week for the Wrights. Petey had off 10 days. (including the weekends) So we have had lots of fun family time. Mostly hanging out here at home but we've gone on some adventures and gotten pretty much everything done on our "fun things to-do list".
Big Mama! and little mama! Im 37 weeks, ahhh!
Parks are so much more fun with a 2 year old!
Bad news-Peter had to replace are hot water heater, good news-Noni has a fun new house to color and play in. Shes not sad she just loves making that face and getting a reaction from me. She does it whenever we are playing.
Peteys Birthday was on Monday and he is now 28 years old! We celebrated with a scavenger hunt for presents, Dunkin Donuts coffee and 6 donuts served in bed and a trip to Cabelas. (very manly outdoorsy store in case you dont know) He said his favorite part of the day was the donuts, he doesnt like cake very much.
She loves the outdoors but can't go anywhere without her baby these days. Which I love and think is the cutest thing!
Hanging in the woods watching daddy hang his dear stand.
Scarey I know. Petey will be hunting archery starting tomorrow. This is a true sign of Fall.
Happy weekend everyone!! and back to reality on Monday! :)

Nee-Nee and Poppy time!
My in-laws came up from Tennessee last week for a short but sweet visit. So in order to get as much time as we could with them we decided to all have dinner together every night they were here. (Mon, tues, wed.) It was so good to see them. We would have had to wait until January to see them for the holidays so we all are really glad they decided to make the trip. The grandkids especially were happy to see them and soaked up as much Nee-Nee and Poppy time as they could! I took lots of pics so enjoy!

Fall is Here!
Well I dont know if its official but it sure feels like it to me. We have had to break out the pants and hoodies and according to the forecast the cool weather is here to stay. I am actually ok with saying good bye to summer. The excitement of what is to come in about 6 weeks is making me really look forward to the fall.
What I love about Fall:
that I light candles more often-they are so homey
drink lots of hot beverages (yum)
curling up under a blanket with my hunny and my girl while we watch tv
hearty soups, stews, and chilli that are such comfort foods
hmmm what else, pumpkins, apples, hayrides, pretty leaves, its all good and makes the season so fun!
With this cooler weather I have had a great to desire to stay home more. Which if any of you really know me you know I am a social butterfly. Ever since Noni was two weeks old I have been running around doing all kinds of fun stuff with my girl. We have playdates and go shopping and have created lots of fun memories in the past two years. That being said the thought of adding a baby to our running around is kind of dreadful. I am sure I will still have my playdates and do lots of fun things but just not as much. It will be difficult to work around not one but two nap schedules and then all the stuff to bring with me, uh you get it. SO I have been staying home a little more, trying to get used to it I guess. And that pregnancy thing that they say comes towards the end of the pregnancy "nesting" really has some truth to it. I think that is kicking in. I have been rearranging and cleaning and sorting through all sorts of things that I haven't touched in a long time. Anyway.
Today we were home all day except a quick run to the library. I was in the kitchen most of the day makeing/freezing my own applesauce and then I made a big pot of chilli and some GF cornbread. Yum. It was a fun day but I am tired now. Time to just relax for the rest of the evening. :) Some pics from the day and the week. Yay FALL!!
