What did we do...

got a henna tattoo~which may be a test run for the real deal, not sure yet

got stung by a bee and put chewed up Pigs-ear-weed-stuff on it~yes its a real thing, I didn't make it up and it really does help~took the throbbing away really quickly

went for a walk at a local park

ate wild rasberries~yum

ate three different kinds of marshmellows~regular, strawberry and coconut

ate some gluten free, strawberry marshmellow flavored smores~very carefully:)

and had lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!~

The SIMPLE Things

It has been one rough week but I am trying to enjoy the simple things in my life and stay close to HIM!!! Happy weekend everyone!

Daddys Day

We showed daddy the love by giving him homemade cards and chocolate.

There is nothing I love more these days than hanging out outside with my two FAVORITE people. My Petey and my Noni!! We have so much fun going for walks on our nice quiet road and just playing in our yard. It's so fun!

Big Project!

So way back in the beggining of April Peter and I started the big project of redoing our sunroom. Our house is on the smaller side and the sunroom was not insulated very well so we could only use that room in the spring and fall when the weather is not too hot and not too cold. By turning the sunroom into our room that we could use all year round we were able to turn the old living room into our dining room. Before we just had a tiny little table in our kitchen to eat at which as a soon to be family of four was getting a little tight. Peter did all the work himself except for the hard wood flooring he had his brother help. I helped with some staining but thats it. Im so proud of my hunny and all the stuff he can do. Hes so handy to have around. We are absolutly in love with the new set up. We still have a few finishing touches to do to the new living room but for the most part it is done. Here are some before, inbetween, and after pics!

Showers of Joy

Meet my future sister-in-law. Miss Genna. I am so excited for my twin brother Isaac. They have been together for 5 years and are finally getting married. They have talked about marriage for the past 4 years but were waiting for her to get done college. It is finally here. They will be getting married in July. We just had her surprise bridal shower on Sunday which was really nice.

My happy place!

This is my favorite place to be these days. My patio! In the morning and evening it is shaded and so comfortable. Its just beautiful. We have about half an acre and when we moved in we put some trees up for privacy. I get to see all kinds of wildlife in our little yard. Lots of birds, squirrels that come right up to the patio, bunnys and chipmunks. And our newest visitor is hummingbirds that come to our new feeder. So neat. We eat dinner on the patio almost every night and grill as often as possible. I just love my patio. It is my happy place!!!

We had a wonderful weekend! The weather was perfect for picnicing and doing lots of fun outdoor stuff. Like swimming in kiddie pools, grilling, eating picnic food, flea marketing, going to the park,sitting in the hammock, planting flower beds/garden, and eating popsicles.
