Final winter project

Our living room is 100% done!! Its been a long process. Due to finances we had to do it in stages. The room has been liveable for a year now but the final touches took a while. My mom had to make the curtains, (which needed to be insulated heavy duty curtains so it was a big project) we needed to buy the blinds and get them up and Peter had to make an entertainment center. It is finally complete. Take a look.

Highlights from my week/weekend

I got a new vacum!! I've been using my mother in laws 20 yr old thing that whistles and shuts off if the hose turns too far to the right. I am so thankful to finally have a nice vacum!
sisters moments
I can't even explain what it does to see my girls having fun together!
Noni is really getting into her. She loves making her laugh! (how sweet is this pic, melts mamas heart)
Firsts- we tried out her bouncy seat thing this week. She liked it until she spit up and kept spinning.
Evey sucked on a banana this week. Just to get a little taste. Not sure if she liked it.
Daddy reading to Noni...a daily event in this house.
I love shopping for my girls, right now its funner then shopping for myself. It was the last day so it was fill a bag for $10 and even though it was slim pickings I found a lot of cute stuff. Even found somethings in the boys sections. :)

La Leche League Leader

So have ya'll heard of La Leche League? Maybe or maybe not. It was started by a group of women in a church who were breastfeeding their babies. They would talk, encourage each other and ask questions. So they decided to start a local group to support women in breastfeeding. It is now an international organizations with groups meeting all around the world to support mamas!

I have been attending my local LLL group since I was pregnant with Nonah. (my first) I can count on one hand how many meetings I have missed. It is such a great group and even though I don't have many questions any more I still like going and being surrounded by like minded mamas. And sometimes I give my input and can share from my own experience. Well after the last meeting one of the leaders called me and asked me if I would be interested in becoming a leader. Umm...no...not really. I told her I would have to think about it, pray about it, and talk to my hubby about it.

A couple weeks later now I have thought about it a lot. And...I AM going to be a La Leche League Leader. It is going to be a long process of reading, learning and applying and then getting certified but I'm on my way. It's a little scarey having to answer mamas questions but I think I can do it.
I am really excited to be a LLL leader!

Burgandy Dreadies

It was a time for a change. I wanted to do a red or purple bur NOT my whole head, just a few random dreads. So my hubby helped me pick out a burgandy color and a blonde and he died my dreads. He did a great job. (i just wish he got the roots a little better, its pretty hard to dye dreads) Sometimes they look purple and some times they look red. Its fun! I'll probably do blonde again then for the summer!!

Weekend fun!

It was a beautiful weekend! Still a little cool but lots of sunshine!

I love this chick so much! She was trying not to smile!
We spent lots of time in our back yard. Playing soccer, sliding, swinging, looking at all the flower buds that are coming up!
She found flowers in our yard!
All dressed up for Dr. Seuss storytime with her cousins!
A walk in the park!
A picnic on our patio!
Sisters!
And to end our weekend we had a chimanea fire!

~dress up~

This is my Noni girls fave pass time...
I just took a five min break because Noni just woke up and needed help getting her ballet shoes on (which she slept with) and a dress. She goes through any where from 2 to 6 outfits a day. I don't mind but when she wants to sleep with her shoes and big tutu on I have to draw the line.
