Noni now has her own bed. Since day one she has been sleeping in our bed. (Or in the crib that is side-carred up to our bed) It was the best way for all three of us to get the most sleep possible. I could nurse her without getting out of bed and we both would fall back to sleep pretty quickly. It is so fun to wake up right next to your sweet sleepy eyed baby.
But it is time to make the adjustment. Its going to be a slow process I think but we have some time. She really loves her new bed. At random time through out the day she will just go in her room, lay in her bed and pull the covers up. It’s so cute. She has been taking naps in it the past few days and starting the night out in it.

ReplyDeleteMy babe Athena just transitioned to her big bed too. She's just a few months shy of 5. She's our youngest - and it was with mixed emotions that her warm little body left our bed, but it was just the right time. Peace.
I think the thing that always gets me is how little they look in such a big bed! Suddenly your baby is growing up and it's good but it's bittersweet too. :)
